United Crane & Rigging has served Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia and the surrounding area for more than 50 years, specializing in both operated and bare rental crane services.
Established as United Rental Equipment Company in 1968, UCR has grown to one of the most respected crane companies in the Mid-Atlantic, expanding our portfolio of services to include tower crane and hoist rentals, rigging, heavy haul, warehousing, and alternative movement solutions.
In April 2020, United Crane & Rigging’s Upper Marlboro, MD location and Crane Rental Company’s Capitol Heights, MD location merged operations. Bringing these two sister-company locations together, better position us to serve our growing customer base in the Washington, D.C. area with additional resources, a larger equipment fleet, and more specialized services. The merged entity operates as Crane Rental Company in Capitol Heights and this does not affect UCR’s Baltimore location or any business we conduct throughout D.C., Northern Virginia and Maryland.
